“the greenest building is one that is already built” _ carl elefante
I am currently pursuing a master’s program in interior Architecture
with a focus on adaptive reuse at RISD. As an aspiring architect, my ambition
is to enrich cities with public and cultural spaces that are accessible to
everyone, catering to the uniqueness of each individual. I firmly believe that
in the future, society will thrive through connections fostered in spaces that facilitate
the expression and immersion of people’s lives. The transformative power of space
to resonate with people’s lives in the urban landscape has become a core belief
of mine.
Studying interior architecture has allowed me to explore, as
Carl Elefante aptly puts it, the untapped potential of existing buildings. I
find myself captivated by the possibilities of theses structures, envisioning
their future while honoring their past memories. The exploration and interaction
with existing environments not only align with sustainability principles, but
also allow me to weave together the threads of the past, present, and the
promising future of architectural spaces.
I am unwavering in my commitment to dreaming, studying, and
thriving. My ultimate goal is to contribute to a world where spaces, shaped by
my hands, become gathering points for people to connect organically and
resonate with the accumulated stories embedded within the architecture itself.
